What's been going on!

So I finally downloaded my pictures of what's been going on these past couple of weeks. I've been having so much fun this summer. It is flying by. Recently I went to the Splash pool in Daybreak with my sister and Sandy. The little kids loved it. We had a nice little picnic and then let the kids play in the water. Here are the pictures of them in the pool.

Look at that swimming move. I see the next Michael Phelps. lol
Hudson was done playing in the pool. So Nana and him went over to the swing set to play. Then about 2 weeks ago I took Brittany and Amber to a free movie premier. I took them out to dinner and then off to the movie "Bandslam" We had such a good time dancing out to the music. Thanks girls for a fun night.
On Saturday night I got to tend all the little ones while the parents all enjoyed a night out. I decided it would be better to go out to eat then have the mess all at the sisters house. So off to Arctic Circle we went. We enjoyed dinner and playing on the play land. Amber and Brittany were such good helpers. They totally got all the kids sitting down to eat and even put on a plastic bib for Hudson. So cute! Then it was off to a park to enjoy the good weather. Here is everyone on the tire swing. This is the best picture out of all of them I took. Trying to get all three little ones to smile can be a challenge.
Here is Gavin on the fire pole. He has never done it before. I showed him what to do and held him till he did it all by himself. Way to go Gavin! After that it was all he wanted to do

Two weeks ago my friend from Tallahassee came in town. She now lives in Jersey England with her husband. I went over and was able to talk to her and see what is going on in her life. We all talked for 4 hours. It was so nice to catch up. So glad we were able to see each other.A week later more visitors from Tallahassee came in town. There is (in the back) Michelle, Melissa, Amy, Alyse. (Bottom) Leslie and I. Michelle, Leslie, and Alyse all were in the singles ward where I served in Tally. Then there is Melissa who was my first companion in Tally. She was so great to serve with. Glad I got the opportunity to serve with her. Then there is Amy (my mission companion I wish I served with). I met her the last day of my mission and now we are best friends. Love all my Tally friends. Thanks for coming to visit!Leslie and I. She lived in the singles ward where I served in. I loved being around her and getting to know her. She now lives here so I get to see her more often. YEA!
The beautiful girls Amy, Alyse, and I. We got to spend the whole day with Alyse on Thursday. We toured downtown and hung out at Gateway. Then we got blown away in the wind storm. That was one crazy storm last Thursday. We ended up going back to my house to chat and catch up. Then everyone came over for a lovely BBQ. It was a blast to reminisce of all the memories of Florida and to see what everyone has been up to lately. Thanks everyone for coming!
Of course I was in charge of bringing boys to the BBQ. Zac and Robert made a special appearance.
Leslie and Alyse. I love these girls. Thanks for all the memories.

500 days of summer

The other night I went and saw the premier of the movie "500 Days of Summer" It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. It's a romantic comedy. I really liked the movie and will probably see it in the theater again. The movie is about Zooey not believing in true love and Joseph falls for her. Also it has a great soundtrack for the movie. Can't wait to see it again.

By the way when did Joseph Gordon-Levitt grow up? He was way cute in this movie. The 3rd rock from the sun days are over. Joseph and Zooey made a really cute couple in this movie.
I had to put this picture in to because Matthew Gubler was in the movie. He plays the friend to Joseph. Matthew is a great actor to. He is one of my favorite characters on Criminal Minds.

24th of July/Parachute/Secondhand Serenade Concert

Happy 24th of July to everyone. I had a wonderful 3 day weekend with my family. We enjoyed a day of seeing a movie, swimming at Cottonwood Heights Pool, a wonderful BBQ in our backyard, and finally some fireworks.

On Friday afternoon. the whole family went and saw the movie G-Force. I actually thought the movie wasn't to bad. It kept the kids and all of us entertained. There was great music throughout the movie so the little ones were dancing through most of it. We had so much fun! Then it was off to the house to have a yummy shredded pork sandwiches for dinner. I had a ward activity on Thursday and was in charge of the food. I had tons of left overs of the pork so we decided to have it for dinner. It was YUMMY! After dinner we did a little bit of sparklers for the kids. They loved it. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

On Saturday I meet up with some friends I meet in Florida while I served my mission. One of them lives here now, but the other one was visiting from Florida. We met up at the Farmers Market downtown. I have never been there, but it was so much fun. I'm going to have to go again.

Kim, Leslie, and I. Thanks girls for a fun morning.

Also on Saturday I got tickets to the Parachute/Secondhand Serenade Concert. It was a blast. My friend gave me the Parachute cd and I haven't stopped listening to it. I was so excited to see them in concert. They did such a wonderful job. There was also an opening band called "We shot the moon." They we not to bad. I liked them. They gave everyone a sample cd from their album coming out this summer. It has 6 songs on it, not to bad for a free album.

After Parachute performed they told us they would be out there to meet everyone. I couldn't pass up that opportunity. Amy and I went back and got to meet the band We shot the moon and Parachute. Here are the pictures below and some video. We had a great view of the stage to take pictures. Thanks friends for a fun night.

Concerts, the zoo, sister's get together, and the 4th of July

I've been a slacker once again in blogging, but thought I would catch everyone up to what's been going on these past two months. First off I went to the No doubt concert with Paramore. It was so much fun. I took my friend for her birthday. Here are some pics from the night and videos (ok videos not working will try again later.)

The next concert was the Kelly Clarkson concert. We all had a blast in the rain dancing to Kelly.

The beautiful rainbows during the concert!

I thought the shirt this guy was wearing was hilarious.
My sister Kris and I took the kids to the Hogle Zoo.We had a wonderful time spending the day together. We're ready to ride the train. Btw the train wasn't worth the money, but still fun for the kids to ride a train.

The 4th of July! In the morning we had Amber's baptism followed by a BBQ as a family.
The beautiful Amber on her baptism day!Hudson just being cute.

Ready for the fireworks

And finally I had a get together with some of my missionary sisters. We had Julie and Kari in town during the 4th and decided to all get together.

Here is Julie. She was one of my favorite companions. We had a blast serving together. So good to see her.

Kelli and I. She is getting married in August so it was fun to finally meet her fiance. Congrats Kelli! Here is Keri and I. We were companions for a couple of transfers in Tally. She lives in Michigan so I haven't seen her since she got married a couple years ago. It was so nice to see her again and her beautiful family. Here is all of us that were able to come. We missed all those that weren't able to make it. Will see you all at the next one! Thanks guys for a fun night!
