Day 3 Part 1

Day 3 of our trip was dedicated to the Warner Brothers Tour. If you have never gone it was worth the money. I love movies and television. I got to see where some of my favorite shows had been filmed. Gilmore Girls was one of them. They also take you into this museum that has costumes worn by famous actresses and actors. They had the costumes worn by Heath Ledger and Christian Bale in Bateman, the matrix, pushing daisies tv show, Where the wild things are, and tons more. Then upstairs in the museum they had a whole floor dedicated to Harry Potter.

The tour takes you around the lot of Warner Brothers. You get to see the props that studios use. Each prop has a bar code to be used when you check out that certain prop. This area was full of props you could choose from. Then they took us to an area that had the props used in the Friends television show. They set it up just like it was for the tv show. That was awesome to see. On the tour you also get to go into a stage where they film shows. Since our tour guide knew some of the members of our tour were Big Bang Theory fans he took us into that studio. We saw the set and how it all worked while they filmed.

Our tour guide was amazing. He was knowledgeable about everything film and t.v. He knew Amy and I were fans of Gilmore girls so he took us around the area they used to film the show. We saw Luke's diner, the gazebo, Sookie's house, Gilmore house, and where Rory went to school. This was a dream come true. Tons of pictures were taken there. Here are some of the pictures I took that day. Oh and I also got a Luke's Diner t-shirt & a Gossip Girl key chain as a souvenir.

We think this is Loreli's doll house used in the T.V. show.

The scooby Doo Van

The studio has it's own forest. They filmed parts of Jurassic Park here and are currently filming True Blood in this area.

These were bikes placed in front of the offices on the lot. Since there isn't a lot of parking on the lot workers just get on these bikes to run errands around the lot. These were the bikes for Two and a half men.

Because they filmed so long at this place they named this studio "The Friends Stage" Also Full House was filmed in this studio to. I think it was studio 24.

More Gilmore Girls stuff. This was Taylor's store that connected to Luke's diner.

Loreli's and Rory's House in stars Hollow. The front of the house was their house in the show, but on the back side was Sookie's house connected. That was some fun trivia to learn.

Not sure whose house this is, but it looked cool.

This was the dance studio on the show Gilmore Girls.
Right next to the studio was a playing field. On this grass area was where they filmed the Friends episode where they area all playing football. I think it was during Thanksgiving time.

Rory's Tree in College.

This is the lots central park. Kind of funny how small it is. This is a set used all the time. It was used in Princess Diaries 2 and Rory's entrance into Chilton.

The train tracks used in the T.V. Show ER. They are just painted to look rusted.

The guide told us that everything on the lot could be used for filming. The offices look like a hotel and some our houses. This lot for example was the helicopter pad for the show ER. Normally it's just a parking lot. Kind of cool

A New York looking street

This was used for the movie Ocean's 12 I think. This was the casino entrance.

And here is the hotel casino floor left over from the movie. Just a little patch.This is where they filmed the scene for Spider man where Toby Mcguire is hanging upside down when he gets kissed from Kirsten Dunst.This is a set used in the movie version of Rent. Love that movie.

That concludes my tour of Warner Brothers. I had such a good time and will defiantly go again. Day 3 Part 2 will have to continue till tomorrow. Sorry this was such a long post. Hopefully you made it through. Here is a hint of what tomorrow will bring.
